Citizen Transportation Advisory Committee
The Citizen Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC) was created to advise the Mayor & Council and the Transportation Department on matters relating to transportation in the City of Tucson, and on the development and funding of the Transportation Capital Improvement Program.
CTAC also reviews and makes recommendations relating to the Transportation Department's annual Operating Budget, the Regional Transportation Plan, and State and Federal transportation legislation.
CTAC consists of sixteen members: The Mayor and each City Council member select one City resident to serve on the Committee, the Commission on Disability Issues selects a member from the handicapped community, and the remaining eight members are volunteers from the community who are selected by the City's Director of Transportation, the Citizen Participation Administrator, and the CTAC Chairperson.
All members serve without compensation for a period of four years. Mayor & Council appointed member's terms are coterminous with the terms of the appointing elected official. Replacement members are recruited no less than annually.
CTAC meetings are currently held at the Ward 6 Office, 3202 E. 1st Street (near Speedway and Country Club) on the 1st Monday of each month beginning at 5:30 PM. Messages for CTAC may be left at (520) 791-4371 or via EMail to yolanda.parker@tucsonaz.gov.
