Campbell Avenue (Prince to River)

The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and its contractor, Southern Arizona Paving and Construction Co., are continuing work on the $1.73 million reconstruction of Campbell Avenue between Prince Road and River Road. Please be aware of the following traffic restrictions related to this work:

• Construction workers will be milling and paving the center turn lane of Campbell Avenue, between Roger Road and Prince Road, from now until June 20, 2005. Because of this work, left turns will be prohibited between Roger Road and Prince Road. In addition, motorists will not be able to cross Campbell Avenue at Roger Road or Allen Road. All businesses and residents in this area will have at least one driveway open and right-turn access will be maintained at all times.

Other than final street striping, this project is expected to be complete in June of 2005. This project is part of the $25 million Street Improvement Initiative approved by Mayor and Council for the 2005 fiscal year budget.
Motorists traveling in the area are asked to please obey the posted speed limit signs and be alert for construction equipment and personnel working in the area.
