Prevent Stormwater Pollution
"Stormwater Pollution occurs when rain water runoff transports oil, grease, and trash to our fragile washes. Keeping stormwater clean and protecting our washes is a job for all of us."
This is the shared message of the City of Tucson, Pima County, the Towns of Marana and Oro Valley, the City of South Tucson, and others, who have joined forces as part of Pima Association of Governments' Stormwater Management Working Group.
Stormwater flows across jurisdictional boundaries, making stormwater pollution prevention a multi-jurisdictional issue. Because vehicles play such an important role in stormwater pollution, proper vehicle maintenance is encouraged.
